Bad News

Met with the nurse practitioner today and went over my CT scans.
Compared to last month's CT- there is a tumor in my pelvis that has practically doubled in size. (Now about as big as a grapefruit.). That's the discomfort I've been feeling and then there is new tumor on my left side. That one isn't small either.
Please pray for me. I don't think I've said that in so many words. If you don't pray, please send good vibes, thoughts, whatever it is you do in my direction.
I can't leave my girls without a Mommy.

Our Most Heavenly Father, We thank you for all you do for us, and we come together to ask you to place your healing hand upon our precious Rachel. May she know that you are with her, even in these troubling times. We can't understand why this happening, but you do. May all find comfort with You. In your most precious name, Amen

  4. I read your blog for the first time last night after seeing the post on the Lynch Syndrome facebook link about the vaccine treatment in Dallas in the future. You have been on my mind all day and with each thought another prayer for you and your sweet girls. I cannot imagine what you are going through.

  5. I was diagnosed with appendix cancer last year (mine was stage 2 - I caught it early). I also have little ones to take care of so I know how much you want to keep fighting for their sake. I have been praying for you since I found your blog and will continue.

  9. Oh Rachael, I'm so very sorry to hear this and my heart aches with yours. I'm SO praying for you and your precious little girls. This is one of those times when it seems there are no words. There's a verse from Romans 8 that says something about how when we're broken hearted and have no words, even to pray, the "Spirit Himself pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance." I guess that would be now.

My thoughts and prayers continue to be with you Rachael.

  10. Praying for you hard. I have a scan due next week, and I know from how I feel that the news will not be good. It's been a bad week - my own health issues, finding out that my husband has blockages in his heart, losing Daria this past weekend (she was diagnosed only 3 months before I was), and now this news from you. Life is so precious - and sometimes, so unfair. For you, I hope that things turn and go as you and your little ones deserve...

  11. Rachel, you don't know me, but one day I was looking at blogs and starting reading yours. I have a young relative with terminal cancer so I know how scary and overwhelming everything can be at times.

I pray for my relative and I have prayed and will continue praying for you and intending that somehow the doctors can get you started on the vaccine earlier rather than waiting at all.

And I join others in their prayers for you because "when two or more are gathered together..." it makes for a powerful intercession. Lord, bring your peace and grace to Rachel now as she faces many decisions and most especially guide her medical team to make the best choices they can for her well-being. Amen
